Sustainable construction - steel makes it possible: steel is infinitely recyclable and therefore the perfect ambassador for a circular economy. We are therefore delighted that this year's C2C Congress organised by the Cradle to Cradle NGO (C2C NGO) will take a closer look at the topic of "Construction in transition" and that our partnership will enable us to strengthen the focus on steel as a sustainable building material.

As one of the most successful steel companies, we have been producing proven steel beams for over 100 years, which have become an integral part of construction practice. At Peiner Träger GmbH, circular economy is firmly anchored in the company's DNA thanks to the introduction of electric steel metallurgy and one hundred per cent scrap recycling in the mid-1990s.

On Friday, 8 September, our CEO Dr Jan Schmidt will be talking to the Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Building - Klara Geywitz - and three other invited guests at a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges of sustainable construction.

Dr. Schmidt will be accompanied by our Head of Technical Customer Services - Marcus Lippe. Together, they would like to raise awareness of sustainable construction with steel in dialogue with visitors and other guests during the congress days.
