Sustainable construction: SALCOS® - from grey to green

A significant portion of global CO₂ emissions originates from the building sector. This makes sustainable construction an essential element in the green transformation. The environmental impact of building materials during production and use is a significant factor in determining their overall sustainability.

Thanks to our low-emission electric furnace route with 100 % scrap recycling and the use of directly sourced green electricity, we are already able to offer CO₂-reduced products.

Our SALCOS® Structural Steel is produced with emissions in production of only 366 kg CO₂e per tonne, which is 47 % less CO₂ than the grey Peiner beam.
